End of season wrap, YJFL Awards, AGM, PAFC (TAKE 2)

9 Sep by PJFC President (Rob Spurr)

The curtain has drawn on a rewarding 2024 season for the Parkside JFC.

Whilst we are a club that values participation above all else, it was nice to see so many teams enjoying finals action with our U11 Girls and U13 Boys bringing home flags to Pitcher Park. Congratulations also to our nominees and award winners announced at Sunday’s YJFL presentations.

The club would like to recognise and farewell any of our Youth players that finish up with the junior club this year. Our Year 12 Youth boys team celebrated their season and history at Latrobe Golf Club on Saturday night (photo). Many of the team have kicked the Sherrin together since Auskick and we wish them well for their transition to senior footy.

Finally, thanks to all Parkside JFC players for representing and respecting the jumper in 2024. Also to our coaches, TMs, sponsors, first aiders and our weekly army of game day volunteers. It takes community effort to put the kids out on the park each week and we are lucky to have such a supportive group of parents.

Enjoy your summer sports and see you out on the track for our Kickstart pre-season program in early 2025.

AGM

The AGM has been moved to Wed 9 Oct at 7pm.

Please contact president@pjfc.com.au or Jo DiCiero VP@pjfc.com.au to discuss your interest in joining committee. We are particularly interested in hearing from volunteers willing to co-lead or lead our first aid, registration and sponsorship processes as well as general committee. Whether nominating or not, please come along on the 9th to show interest in your club.

PAFC Grand FInals

The senior club is playing in 2 VAFA Grand Finals this weekend at Martin Reserve Hadfield from 11.50. I’m sure they’d love the support of the junior club members on Saturday.
