Insurance

The Parkside Junior Football Club has medical insurance to assist with the cost should a player need medical treatment as a result of an on-field injury – be it during a game or at training. The Club recommends that all players organise ambulance cover as the Club's insurance does not cover all of the costs.

The Club's insurance is arranged through JLT Sport and it basically covers 'out of pocket expenses' after claims have been made through Medicare, or any private health insurance the player's family may hold.

Any player that wishes to make a claim on this insurance should visit the JLT website first (jltsport.com.au) where they will find details of the insurance cover and how to download a claim form. After completing the claim form they will need to have it signed by the Club President or Secretary before submitting the claim as outlined on the form.

The Club has increased the level of cover for Personal Injury from Bronze to Silver. This level of cover provides the following benefits:

Non-Medicare medical Benefits

75% reimbursement of non-medicare items, $2,500 maximum per claim and $75 excess per claim

Capital Benefits - $30,000 (Under 18 years old)

Quadriplegia/Paraplegia Events - $250,000 maximum
