Auskick

Auskick is a great introduction to Australian Football for boys and girls 5-12 years old. Many of the Parkside Junior Football Club players start out playing Auskick at the Alphington Fairfield Auskick Centre. We share the same facilities at Pitcher Park in Alphington, making it an easy transition for the kids that want to go onto junior football. Register for Auskick at the Alphington Fairfield Auskick Centre.

2022 Auskick Season Info

The 2022 season runs between 30th April and 20th August. Auskick sessions are run on Friday evenings commencing at 5:30pm and running for 60-75 minutes depending on the age group and number of participants.

The kids will be split into 4 groups based on age. There will be a girls only group but girls are welcome to participate in the other groups if they would prefer.

There is no set uniform for Auskick, just ensure your child is comfortable to be able to participate in all activities. We recommend sports clothing and either runners or footy boots. Most participants choose to wear their AFL team’s colours and jumpers.

Kids are welcome to bring along their own footy for a kick before the session starts, but you don’t need your own footy for Auskick sessions as we supply all footies.

Auskick is run by Volunteers and we rely on Parent involvement for all Coaching of AFL skills and rules for your child. All parents/guardians are encouraged to get involved in NAB AFL Auskick and no experience is necessary. Each group will need at least 6-8 parent helpers for each session. If you don't feel comfortable doing that then your assistance would be most appreciated to assist with the canteen and pumping up footies.

Even if you aren’t required to help out parents still need to be present just in case there are medical reasons etc. Parents are strongly advised not to drop off their kids at Auskick and then leave – Auskick is not a babysitting service!
